Preparation of spectacle lenses requires micron-precise calibration for manufacturing. Key landmarks are used to ensure good positioning and Ingedata collaborated with their Client to build a micron-precise dataset to train an automated positioning computer vision model.
Applied to image processing, micron-precise positioning required image segmentation with 2 pixel-tolerance against ground truth. A consensus workflow that embeds geometrical rules was developed to statistically ensure that segmentations are at the exact right location.
